Karla by JLL Pearl

The stones in Karla have a marquise cut. Oval and pointed at both ends, they indeed catch light at angles that round stones don't. Seven of them — amethysts and blue topaz — arrange in a loose spray. In fact, this arrangement is the top of the pink pearl amethyst macramé bracelet. Below — not beside — a single round pink pearl hangs from the cord.

Amethyst and Blue Topaz

Amethysts and blue topaz don't often appear together. Yet the combination reads cooler than expected. Still, both stones carry warmth because of how they respond to the same light. In this pink pearl amethyst macramé bracelet, the mauve and the sky blue sit side by side without competing. Between them, the rose-gold mount draws a warmer line.

The Bronze Cord

I chose a bronze satin cord to bring warmth to the piece. Mauve, sky blue, and peach are gentle tones. On a grey cord, they would lose definition. Because of the bronze, this pink pearl amethyst macramé bracelet reads clearly on the wrist. A sliding knot also adjusts the fit. Two small white pearls finish the cord ends.
