Eden by JLL Pearl

Eden is the baroque pearl gold flower choker I designed around the idea of abundance made deliberate — many large pearls, each different, held together by small gold-plated flower caps that punctuate rather than dominate. Moreover, the pearls I choose for Eden carry real size — between 15 and 20mm — baroque, irregular, and entirely their own.

The pearls

Each pearl in Eden holds its character openly. Furthermore, some run long and narrow, some flatten almost to round, some carry deep ridges along the surface. Still, together they form a progression, a rhythm of form and light. Because they are baroque, no two read the same. Therefore, the necklace shifts with the light and with the neck it rests against.

The flower caps and the cord

Between each pearl, I press a small gold-plated flower cap into place by hand. Furthermore, these caps are ornate — filigree, deliberately worked — and they give the necklace its name. The cord is braided gold satin, fine and supple, with an adjustable sliding knot. Therefore, Eden moves from a close choker fit to a longer collarbone length, depending on how you wear it.

I assemble each Eden in my atelier in Greece, pearl by pearl, cap by cap. As a result, the spacing and rhythm of each piece is mine to decide. In this way, this baroque pearl gold flower choker carries a considered quality — nothing mechanical, nothing rushed. Eden arrives in its JLL Pearl pouch with a certificate of authenticity. Because I work with natural pearls, no two pieces are identical.
