Bocca by JLL Pearl

Bocca means mouth in Italian. I chose that name for a reason. The baroque pearl and the sapphire teardrop sit side by side, close enough to touch — yet neither one dominates. In fact, this baroque pearl gemstone macramé bracelet reads differently depending on which stone you choose. The sapphire version, shown here, is the most direct: cold blue against warm white, volume against density.

The Pearl and the Teardrop

The baroque pearl — 12 to 14mm, AA+ quality, white with a silver undertone — is deliberately irregular. Yet its surface catches light across its entire form. The teardrop beside it is pavé-set with sapphires on an oxidized silver base, deep navy, every facet visible up close. Still, the two sit flush on the same light grey macramé cord, which brings them together without forcing them to match.

A Bracelet Made for a Choice

Bocca is available with a sapphire teardrop, a black spinel teardrop, or a ruby teardrop. Because each stone changes the register entirely — blue is cool and precise, black graphic and bold, red warm and direct — this baroque pearl gemstone macramé bracelet becomes, in effect, three different pieces. Indeed, that choice is its whole point. The sliding knot adjusts to any wrist. Two small freshwater pearls finish the cord ends.
